We have been trained and certified by the American Guild of Court Videographers. What this means is professionalism and consistency. If you have used a certified court videographer before then you know there are specific standards that are set.
From equipment placement to properly securing exhibits and evidence for court we go by a set of rules and standards that you can always count on. These days anyone can grab a video camera and shoot tape. But do they provide wired lapel mics vs. wireless to avoid frequency interference. Do they work with the client and court reporter to quickly establish the proper room set up. And do they provide a certificate of authenticity along with an objection and colloquy sheet so you know where to find specific points when reviewing the video?
We do.
We also carry extra lighting, in case that becomes an issue, additional back up cameras and microphones. Expect the unexpected, plan for a problem, shoot great video with clear audio.
Ask your videographer if they are certified by either the NCRA or AGCV. If the answer is no...why?
